Born in Lucknow Dr. Damini started her graduation soon after school via the All india medical entrance test. She graduated from the Govt. dental college of Pondicherry with a Bachelors in dental surgery. She had to learn tamil in order to converse with the patients there which may explain her passion for interpersonal communication and the psychology behind anxiety and fear.
Following graduation, she worked in the prestigious King George’s Medical college , Lucknow. The transition from seeing patients from the south of India to the north made her realise the needs of the patients demographically. As one of the only few residents chosen for this competitive program, she received extensive training in all aspects of general dentistry: restorative (fillings), fixed and removable prosthodontics (crown and bridge), orthodontics (braces and Invisalign), paediatrics, oral surgery, periodontics (soft tissue/gums), endodontics (root canals), cosmetic and implant therapy.
She pursued her passion and was accepted to one of the leading institutes in the world – King’s College London for a Masters in dental public health, fulfilling her lifelong dream to live in London. During her time in London, she was captivated by the food, music, art and culture.
After graduating with Masters from London, which was more of a degree in research she realised that her main forte was communicating with patients and understanding their oral health needs .It was time to give back to her hometown and society and practising what she loved .Core clinical dentistry.She then went on complete a three-year Masters in Endodontics and Aesthetic dentistry at SPPGIDMS Lucknow. As one of only four residents chosen for this competitive program, she received extensive training in all aspects of conservative dentistry and microscopic root canal treatment.
Dr. Damini is passionate about staying on the leading edge of dentistry and invests hundreds of hours into ongoing training each year. She recently completed a continuum specialising in implant dentistry through Implant Seminars. Dr. Damini is an active member of the Indian Dental Association, Indian academy of Conservative dentistry and Endodontics, Indian Dental Association, Indian Endodontic Society, India Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. She also runs two causes namely the Art for a Cause & The Infinity dental smile foundation for underpriviliged children.
